Jem and the Holograms:

Jerrica Benton/ Jem: Manager, Lead singer

Jerrica grew up in a loving family environment with her younger sister Kimber and her two parents Emmett and Jacqui. Jerrica was very close to her mother and would often look to her for advice. Over time, her parents took in foster girls and this is where Aja and Shana became good friends with Jerrica and Kimber. Jerrica grew up with good values and with responsibility and confidence. It was after the death of her father that Jerrica discovered Synergy and then with the help of Synergy’s holographic earrings, Jerrica could become Jem.

Jerrica is the responsible side of the Jem/ Jerrica personality. She is the manager of Starlight Music and runs Starlight house, a foster home for girls. She takes responsibility, is great with delegating tasks and gets things done in a timely manor. Yet at times, she feels to do things right, she has to do them herself. Jerrica often finds herself jealous of her alter ego Jem and does not always see that it is her personality that shines through in Jem that people are so taken by. Jerrica is caring, but can be stubborn in some situations and can be a little quick to judge a person or situation before she has given them a real chance to portray themselves. Yet she will always admit if she is in the wrong and turn her thoughts around. Jerrica is also Rio Pachecco’s girlfriend.

As Jem, she is the lead singer of Jem and the Holograms. Jem knows how to have fun and has a very optimistic personality. When Jerrica changes into Jem, she will let go of her responsibilities and really enjoy herself. As Jem, per attitude is more cheery than as Jerrica and she speaks with more enthusiasm.

It is not very often that the Jerrica personality slips out when she is Jem, but in very stressful times, it does occasionally show through.

Jem can sometimes be easily persuaded and end up in situations that as Jerrica, she would be set against. So the two sides of her personality certain ly do have their differences.
