Special Editions
Special Edition dolls are dolls created to still represent their original character, yet in a new style. Such as using a doll of Jem, to create an alternate version of Jem with different colored face paint, re-rooted hair, yet it’s still Jem.
It is also a lot of fun to create different versions of dolls to keep them looking so unique and represented in a different style.
Commemorative Jem
This version of Jem has been created as a collaboration between the cartoon version, the box art and book artwork version of Jem all rolled into one. Her hair starts as blonde at the front and blends into pink, her earrings are stars, she has the bold Jem makeup with a shiny deep pink dress.
This doll is a Commemorative Jem to celebrate Jerrica/ Jem’s birthday and the 10 year anniversary of a special Jem doll I got on June the 1st 1997, as this holds a very special date in the way of Jem collecting for me.
